My approach is based primarily on principles related to CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy) and ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy). Everyone can benefit from exploring ways to make their lives more balanced and whole. I believe that although identifying and either accepting or changing thoughts is an important first step, that the real change happens from discovering ways to make changes in our lives and becoming an active participant in this change.

I also work from a psychodynamic lens, and encourage clients to discover patterns and history that may affect the problems that they currently experience.
